My brother and I hiked the mountains for 8 straight days trying to find the herd.  We saw a lot of tracks but didn't see any elk.  The last day of the hunt just before dark, we finally came across this spike just 30 yards off the road.  All that hiking and tracking was hard, we were just happy that this one was put in our hands, even though it was just a spike.
It was so close to the road that we were able to lift it into the truck without quartering it.

My brother and I went out west in the desert and found these sheds.

That's a six point elk shed that Brody's holding, too bad we couldn't find the other one.

The ones I'm holding up to Brody's head is a 5 point set.  It was so awesome shed hunting.  I think I am getting addicted.

What kind of riffle did you use? I just bought a 30-06 with a bushnel scope and a York compound bow for deer hunting. I have never killed anything bigger than a pig. You will have to take me out.
